The Social Care Administration in Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services and social psychiatry, as well as health and medical care interventions for these target groups.
We are looking for hourly and summer substitutes for the spring and summer of 2026 who want to work in a fun, rewarding, and varied job. We are seeking substitutes for our operations within disability services and individual and family care.
Summer substitutes in disability services and individual and family care
Job ResponsibilitiesWithin disability services:
As a summer substitute, you provide social support and care to individuals with some form of physical and/or intellectual disabilities. The users either live in their own home or in a shared accommodation.
The work involves being a support for the users in their daily lives. The type of support needed varies and may include tasks such as educational support, personal care, and medication management. You also assist with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings or nights, both weekdays and weekends. Sleeping on duty and 24-hour shifts may also occur. If working on a fixed schedule, weekend work is included.
Within individual and family care:
As a summer substitute, you provide social support and some care to clients with dependency issues or to youth living in residential care homes.
The tasks are varied and depend on the client's needs. This may involve providing practical and educational support, such as taking care of their apartment, assisting with authority contacts, and medication management.
Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings or nights, both weekdays and weekends. Sleeping on duty and 24-hour shifts may also occur. If working on a fixed schedule, weekend work is included.
Additional InformationTo work in care, you must present a valid extract from the police criminal record. This is one of the background checks conducted before potential employment.

QualificationsWe are looking for someone who has an interest in working with people and can see each individual's needs and conditions. In your role, you show consideration for those you meet, are meticulous and responsible, and work with the user/client in focus according to established routines and action plans.
You must be at least 18 years old, have the right to work in Sweden, and have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as documentation and medication delegation are part of the job.
A driver's license and access to a car are advantageous and required for some of our units.
We match your skills and previous experience with the needs of our units.
Within disability services:
· It is advantageous to have education in care and nursing or child and leisure.
· It is advantageous if you know sign language or have worked with visual support, or other clear communication methods.
Within individual and family care:
· Previous experience is required.
· Education as a social or treatment pedagogue is advantageous.
